“What is a great summertime wine?”
Well the answer to this question depends on many factors, but in a perfect world it would be what is in my glass and yours. However to find the perfect summertime wine relies on many variables. Number one being personal preference seeing as we all have such different taste buds.
As studies show the number one go to summertime wine would be a white wine, I feel like it is just preset in our mind by default to choose this. With that being said there are so many other amazing summertime wines, just like the one I am spotlighting this month our Beachy Keen (Peach flavored wine). Although, if you prefer something on the dryer side a full bodied Chardonnay is always front and center. You have to take into consideration the accompaniment, companion and the temperature you wish the wine to be served at. All in all you have to find the wine that fits your sips perfectly.
As each summer passes my go to wines for the summer are light, crisp and have a robust fruity flavor. Also, I choose a wine with a low alcohol content level especially if I am enjoying a glass out in the heat of the summer. Lower-alcohol wines can pair better with foods like your summertime BBQ’s.
